GCC 3013/5013 Making Sense of Climate Change: Science, Art, and Agency

Making Sense of Climate Change: Science, Art, and Agency

In Making Sense of Climate Change: Science, Art, and Agency, we will consider how communities can bring science and art together to face the challenges of climate change. We will explore climate-change science, examine the idea of collective agency (communities working together to make change), and consider public art as a tool for building collective agency. We will bring these ideas together to create a public art piece for the 2017 Northern Spark Art Festival, which will focus on "Climate Chaos'.
